We’ve got big news! We are hosting our 2nd Annual Garden Party on Friday, May 31st from 7-8:30pm and adding a flower show! It will be at the Will Rogers Memorial (1720 W Will Rogers Blvd) and will include drinks and hors d’oeuvres. The flower show entry categories will be: live, silk, and dried. Our theme is “Kaleidoscope – Celebrating the World of Color!” There will also be a Garden Party Hat Parade, too, so be sure to dress up! Judging of all flower show entries will take place at 6:00pm from a panel of judges. All entries will be included in a silent auction, so you can take these beautiful arrangements home with you. We are still accepting entries so if you or someone you know would be interested, contact Flower Show entry form can be found here -> Safenet Services 2019 Flower Show Entry Form

The very next day, we will be hosting our 24th Annual Garden Tour on Saturday, June 1st from 9am-3pm. The tour is a relaxing, self-guided tour of four gardens in the Claremore area. We partner with the Master Gardeners of Rogers County so that each location has a member to answer any questions. A special dedication will take place this year at the Master Gardeners’ Teaching Gardens (1564 Camden St) on Saturday, June 1st at 9am. Several years ago, the Cherokee Nation gave a donation for a play area in the Teaching Garden and for Cherokee signage, and this ceremony is a special way to thank the Cherokee Nation for their support. This dedication will be a great way to start the tour since it is a tour stop again this year. You don’t want to miss out on this!

Tickets are $15 and include both or either event. They will be available beginning May 24th at the Pixley Lumber Carpet Department or the Safenet office (1219 W Dupont). You may also purchase tickets at the Garden Party and at each Garden Tour location. All event sponsors will receive an ad in the program (which serves as the ticket) and we are still looking for sponsors! If you would like to sponsor, contact!

Some of the garden locations will include booths with items from Safenet’s resale shop, Second Impressions. We plan for weeks in advance, saving a selection of donated items, and bring them to one of the garden locations. We choose things we think people who attend the Garden Tour will like. So don’t forget to bring some cash on the tour to take home a wonderful garden treasure.

We are still looking for gardens! We have had flower, vegetable, lavender, raised, and potted gardens. They have been big and small, with pools/ponds, and without. You name it, we’ve had it and we’ve loved them all! If you are interested, or know someone who has a beautiful garden, contact us! We would love to learn more.
