Trauma Informed Yoga

Mental Health and Yoga, combined with gentle movement, breath practices, and mindfulness practices. By using these techniques, yoga will help create mental clarity, calmness, and relieve chronic stress patterns.

Why Yoga?

Yoga is offered as a group and individually. When Joanna is teaching Yoga, she is sure to practice alongside the clients.

She will instuct at the client(s)’ pacing and explore making choices about shapes and movement that works for them and their system. Teaching in this manner embodies the concepts of trauma informed Yoga.

Some benefits that have been shown in research with survivors specifically is:

Kati Gibson, certified trainer, is now offerring a trauma informed strength training class! She uses an individual approach to a group strength class where everyone is welcome & honored here!
